Scholarship Pacific University Offers Undergraduate Scholarships to International Students, USA

Pacific offers AUTOMATIC SCHOLARSHIPS to all international undergraduate students based on your high school or college scores at the time of admission.

Your scholarship award is PER YEAR for FOUR YEARS. You do not need to apply separately for these scholarships. They are automatically awarded to all admitted students. We will show the scholarship amount on your acceptance letter and I-20.

While studying at Pacific, you must have a Pacific GPA of at least 2.0 (average score) to keep your scholarship.

These scholarships are only for UNDERGRADUATE students (both Freshman and Transfer Students). They do not apply to graduate level students.

Phd position at Department of Third world studies, Ghent University scholarship contest

The Faculty of Political and Social Sciences announces a full-time vacancy for a staff research position within the Conflict Research Group (CRG) of the Department of Third World Studies. The successful candidate will be assigned to a research project on post-conflict governance in Nepal.

Content of the function

- The research project will focus on post-conflict governance in Nepal. More specifically the project aims to produce new insights into the complex interplay between fragile state institutions and alternative, informal (governance) networks, and examine its impact on democratic initiatives of state reconstruction in Nepal;
- The assignment will build on the tradition of the research group, namely an emphasis on fieldwork and case expertise;
- The project duration and pay scale will depend upon the qualifications and seniority of the researcher. The available funds are calculated on the basis of the two-year salary of a starting doctoral student.
- This project is explicitly intended as the starting point for a doctoral dissertation.

Profile

- Holder of a Master degree in the Social Sciences or Humanities;
- Interest in and knowledge of governance processes at the local level from an ethnographic perspective;
- Field and research experience in Nepal or (South) Asia is recommended;
- Languages: English; knowledge of local languages is recommended.
