Senior Researcher Scholarship Contest in Landscape Architecture and Planning


Scholarship Contest Research agreements with advanced modeling and simulation of landscape architecture, urban hydrology, watershed modeling and hydrological ecosystem services. The case study is located along the Ciliwung River watershed on the outskirts of Jakarta, Indonesia.

The
Scholarship Contest successful candidate will join an interdisciplinary research team of the newly formed, where it will (i) supervise three PhD students develop strategies for landscape architecture in urban river setting, visualization scenario landscape-water interaction using advanced 3D modeling techniques associated with GIS representation of numerical simulations and measuring hydrology and hydrological value of ecosystem services, (ii) integrate their research in a study conducted by the entire team of researchers working in watershed modeling, urban hydrology and water quality modeling, and (iii) coordinate the overall research project including data management and delivery.

Senior Researcher will conduct research and also teaching some of the 3D GIS landscape modeling and visualization techniques. Thus,
Scholarship Contest candidates will have a PhD with postdoctoral experience in 3D GIS strongly associated with landscape topology modeling and visualization. Sound knowledge of the ecology, ecosystem services and more particularly hydrology and landscape architecture and planning is expected. Knowledge of statistical methods and GIS program with multivariable datasets and 3D landscape modeling and visualization programs are preferred.

Qualification

We are looking for someone who is highly motivated and have experience in scientific research, which has a special interest in the topic and with the right background and level of publications. The

Work will be based on the SEC in Singapore to Zurich where possible throughout the entire contract period. The research will be conducted by the research team living in Singapore, working on a complex interdisciplinary projects, exploring the question of combustion modeling watershed and urban landscape design and interaction development in Jakarta.

TWAS-CNPq Postdoctoral Fellowship Programme Scholarship Contest


Scholarship Contest They are given to scientists from developing countries (except Brazil) to allow them to pursue postdoctoral research in natural sciences. CNPq will provide a standard monthly allowance which should be used to cover living expenses, such as accommodation, food and health insurance. Marian D’Eve Memorial Scholarship Contest

The Faculty Scholarship Contest is organised in four Departments: Innovation and Environmental Sciences, Earth Sciences, Physical Geography, and Human Geography and Urban and Regional Planning.

The Scholarship Contest successful candidate should have a profound knowledge in coastal processes and morphodynamics. Edward Gibbon Wakefield Doctoral Scholarship Contest


The Scholarship Contest award is presented by Mrs. Priscilla Wakefield Mitchell Totnes, Devon, in memory of his great, great uncle Edward Gibbon Wakefield and his three brothers, all of which inspired the founding of the New Zealand doped. PhD Scholarships Contest in Business, Economics and Social Sciences,University of Mannheim.

The objective of the doctoral programs at the graduate school to provide top-class research training. The standardized structure of the doctoral programs at each of the centers of the GESS makes it possible for students and faculty to compare, interact, and collaborate across the three centers. Furthermore, it accounts for the fact that often top research in one field is inspired by developments in neighboring ones. The figure below provides an overview of the time-structure of the research training at the graduate school.

The funding by the German Science Foundation (DFG), first-year students can be fully financed by grants. Students who have successfully passed the first year of doctoral studies, will be funded either through grants or research or teaching assistantships. The decision about the form of continuation finance is made after the first year of doctoral studies. Doctoral grants are in the range of € 1.100 (not subject to income taxation).

French Embassy in India Scholarship Contest Programme 2011-2012 for UG/ PG …

The French Embassy in India offers a wide range of scholarships to Indian students and research scholars from Graduate (Bachelor Degree) to PhD levels, for study and research in France.

Four different scholarship programmes are designed for Indian students who wish to go to France for studies or training. Through these programmes, Indian students may seek financial assistance:

1) for short term study or internship in recognized French Institutions or Universities;

2) for long term study to complete a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree course and obtain a degree from a French Institution of higher education.

For courses taught in French, a good level of French is a mandatory requirement. Please note that some French Institutions or Universities prescribe a certified level.

For courses taught in English, a good command of French is not a mandatory requirement for the award of these scholarships.

Students who would like to learn French language before their departure to France and to attend cultural programmes can contact any of the 17 Alliances Françaises centres in India.

1st – Training or Internship programme – Programme de bourses de formation et stage

Short term scholarships provide an opportunity to Indian students who are enrolled for a bachelor’s or a master’s degree in Indian Institutions / Universities of Engineering to pursue training or internship in French institutions for three a month period (May to July).

2nd – Exchange programme – “Programme de bourses d’échange”

Short term scholarships (3 to 6 months) are awarded to students enrolled for bachelor or master degree in Indian Institutions / Universities which have signed a bilateral exchange agreement with French Institutions of Higher Education.

3rd – Bachelor and Master programme – “Programme de bourses de Licence et Master”

Long term (1-2 years) scholarships are awarded to Indian students with an outstanding academic profile to study at Bachelor’s/Master’s degree level in French institutions of higher Education.

4th – Research programme – “Programme de bourses de recherche”

Research scholarships are awarded to highly qualified PhD candidates (enrolled in Indian university) for conducting research projects in France (during 3 to 6 months). The aim of this program is to provide young researchers the opportunity to carry out part of their research work at French laboratories or universities and to acquaint them with research advances actvities in France.

2nd – Exchange Programme: Programme de bourses d’échange

* Applicant must:

* Be admitted to an exchange programme organized officially under the aegis of an MoU signed between the Institution in India where he/she is currently studying and a French Institution of Higher education

* Be no older than 30 years

* Be currently enrolled in an Under graduate / Master programme in India or have just completed the same

* Produce a statement of purpose, detailed Curriculum Vitae and attested pass certificates and ongoing semesters’ mark/grade sheet by the head of the institution/university

* Produce a NOC from the Institute or University in India where he/she is working/studying currently

* Produce letter on official letter head of the Institution / University in India where he/she is currently working/studying AND the French Institution stating that he/she is a part of the said exchange programme. in the process of getting invitation/acceptance letter from an higher educational institution in France at the time filling the online application

3rd – Bachelor or Master programme – Programme de bourses de Licence et Master

* Applicants applying for Bachelor’s level programmes:

* Be no older than 22 years

* Have passed “Grade 12″ with a minimum aggregate of 60%

* Be currently enrolled in an Under graduate programme

* Produce a statement of purpose, detailed Curriculum Vitae and attested pass certificates and marks/grade sheet (Grades 11 and 12) by the head of the institution/university Important: The confirmed admission letter must be produced latest by 10th June latest.

4th – Research programme – Programme de bourses de recherche

* Have an invitation letter / “convention d’accueil” from a French Institution/Laboratory in predetermined format.

Terms of Award
