Utrecht University offering Postdoctoral Position Scholarship Contest


The Faculty Scholarship Contest is organised in four Departments: Innovation and Environmental Sciences, Earth Sciences, Physical Geography, and Human Geography and Urban and Regional Planning.

The Scholarship Contest successful candidate should have a profound knowledge in coastal processes and morphodynamics. Highly motivated candidates with a PhD degree in Physical Geography, Physical Oceanography, Civil Engineering or another, related field are encouraged to apply. The position requires good quantitative skills and strong affinity (or experience) with field and/or laboratory measurements; experience with numerical modelling is an asset. The Scholarship Contest candidate has to demonstrate a clear commitment to a combination of coastal research and education. You should be able to act as a team player and contribute to the research and educational profile of the group. You have to maintain an active publication record.Scholarship Contest Candidates who do not speak or understand Dutch are expected to be able to communicate in Dutch within two years.

Edward Gibbon Wakefield Doctoral Scholarship Contest


The Scholarship Contest award is presented by Mrs. Priscilla Wakefield Mitchell Totnes, Devon, in memory of his great, great uncle Edward Gibbon Wakefield and his three brothers, all of which inspired the founding of the New Zealand doped. The award is also the memory of Mrs. Mitchell's grandfather, Charles Marcus Wakefield, who distinguished diarist, who was much of the early Canterbury, and finally the memory of his brother Roger Edward Wakefield surveyed dedicated in action killed in the Balkans war is the Commandos. Roger Wakefield graduated from Christ Church, Oxford.

Chair/Reader Scholarship Contest


Scholarship Contest applications are welcome from candidates invited to an important contribution to research and education in all areas of the economy. Candidates with an academic interest in the field of macroeconomics and economic theory are especially welcome. The Scholarship Contest successful candidate will demonstrate innovative research and teaching with an international reputation with a strong record of research publications. The Scholarship Contest post holder will lead in their specialized fields of research and offer help to the scientific management in the department, the Faculty of Social Sciences and the wider University and an important role in influencing the strategy play academic.
